LATEST: U.S. teen pop sensation JESSE MCCARTNEY has denied he is looking for love online - insisting he set up a profile on a dating site for a "joke". The 20-year-old told U.S. magazine In Touch Weekly he had signed up to Jewish dating site JDate.com - even though he isn't Jewish. MCCartney, who recently ended his romance with David Cassidy's daughter Katie, admits he did join the website - but only for amusement and not as a serious way to meet women. He tells America's Us Weekly, "I just wanted to set the record straight and let everyone know that the profile I created on JDate was a joke! "I was hanging' with some friends and we thought that it would be really funny to see peoples' reactions. The hilarity of it all is that until I announced having a profile on the site, nobody believed it was me.

Make the jokes -- bloggers are -- but the Sacramento Kings aren't laughing and are mostly mum on a public relations flap over some salacious photos posted online of its Royal Court dancers. In one photo, four women are seen bending over -- their backsides showing and leaving little to the imagination. Another shows two women posing suggestively as if about to kiss. At the least, the incident poses the question: What were they thinking? The photos appear to be old -- perhaps dating back at least two years -- but the perils of digital footprints provide a cautionary tale that what happens in Las Vegas -- or in this case, the locker room or private quarters -- doesn't always stay there.

Gay matchmaking sites find a growing market
Growing up, Bethtina Woodridge heard all kinds of advice about dating, finding a husband and getting married. "You don't have those tips about meeting women," said Woodridge, 31. "How do I approach her, how do I know she is gay?" For Woodridge, finding that special someone turned out to be easier online. Hey, I'm no relationship guru (I write about tech, for goodness' sake). So when my single friends ask me about the best places to meet men in San Francisco, I draw a blank. As much as I'd like to help them meet a Silicon Valley man-which is what they're really after-I can't, because I don't know many single men or where they hang out.
